15 Yard
The 15 yard is the container of choice if you’re cleaning out a garage or shed and need to toss accumulated trash away. With its lower rim, tossing material over its side is easily done, but you’ll still have enough space for larger remodels, like renovating a kitchen or master bath.
20 Yard
A job sometimes requires you to meet in the middle when it comes to disposal. The 20-yard container is a good compromise in capacity and size which can handle most cleanup jobs easily. A larger remodel or home interior demo is also suited for the 20-yard.
30 Yard
The 30 yard is the most common rolloff you might see for a project. It is a mainstay for building cleanouts, commercial remodels or residential renovations, and can handle a large amount of debris. If you’re planning an intensive house cleanout, a total home gut, or need to dispose of years of clutter, then the 30 yard is your best bet.
40 Yard
The 40 yard is the largest Buffalo container, which makes it ideal for huge commercial jobs. While oversized for most residential projects, it can be suited for large demolitions and tear outs. This is also the rarest of the Buffalo containers—give us a call to check for availability.

FAQs
What If My Dumpster Is Getting Full?
Buffalo Dumpsters is a full-service container company. If your roll off dumpsters fill up faster than anticipated or you’re expecting to need several roll off dumpsters, we can always swap out your dumpster and drop a clean container. Most of our roll off dumpsters come with a fill line near the rim to show where to stop loading. If your container is filling fast and you need another one, please reach out to us. We will place you on schedule and deliver another container to the site as soon as possible, but any lead time you can give us is very helpful.
Preparing for a Dumpster
Don’t be unprepared—that’s a good motto for dealing with a stampede or a Buffalo dumpster. There are several crucial tips to being ready for a large metal container and we’re here to walk you through them:
- Designate a clear, level area to drop the dumpster.
- Keep your phone handy in case our driver needs to reach you.
- Open any gates or remove any obstructions on the day of delivery.
Will My Jobsite Fit a Buffalo Dumpster?
Measuring your jobsite is an essential part of the ritual of preparing for a Buffalo dumpster. Our trucks are of similar size to a large, routine trash pickup truck—just imagine instead of the crushing apparatus on the back a large steel dumpster instead. To enter a jobsite or driveway they need around fifteen to twenty feet of width to make a turn and around twelve feet for a straight shot. But once the delivery truck is on the site, it still needs to pull the dumpster forward and up so it can roll it back onto the drop location. Make sure you have at least fifteen feet clearance above where the truck will offload, and especially make note of any dangling power lines and give our team a heads up—literally!
Loading a Dumpster
Don’t fill above the rim! Seems simple, but the easiest way to abide by this common rule is to properly load your container. All of our dumpsters come equipped with a backdoor which can unlatch to make loading the container easier. While walking in or tossing material, always be sure to be mindful of how you are distributing weight inside the roll-off dumpster. It can be easier than you may think to overload a large steel container, even a Buffalo-branded container. Particularly if there is a lot of heavy material placed in the front of the container (opposite the door of the container) then it will be exponentially more difficult for our trucks to pick up the dumpster. Make sure to distribute the material evenly, and not let it build up towards the front. And remember, don’t load above the rim, no matter how tempting!
Avoiding the Rookie Mistakes
Everyone needs a few pointers their first time renting a dumpster. First, always check with us about what material you’re disposing, that way we can help make sure it’s properly loaded. Some materials like shingles, brick and other heavier items need to be loaded in a specific way. Second, remember that your dumpster can unlatch on the back to allow easy loading from ground level. Ask us in your placement directions which way you’d like the door to face. And third, don’t forget to call for a pickup on your dumpster when it’s full and you’re all through with it! We don’t come and retrieve the container until we get the call.
Portable Toilet Service
An invaluable part of any jobsite is proper restroom accommodations. Don’t leave your crew or guests hanging without the comfort of a clean portable toilet. No matter if it’s for a bustling commercial site or a hopping event, we will bring our special Buffalo brand of excellence to your rental experience. We service each toilet at least once a week, but additional services are also available.
The Black Sheep of Disposal
Most materials are welcome in the herd, but a few are no-goes no matter what. The most objectionable are appliances like refrigerators, or washers, dryers, and stoves. Also troublemakers are the always difficult mattress and box spring, due to their bulk and specialized need for disposal.
Bringing up the rear is a ban on any large electronics, like flatscreen TVs, microwaves, and the last rule but not least is no chemicals—industrial or household, including sprays and cleaners.
On the Job Dumpster Hauling
Your jobsite deserves dependable service. Let Buffalo dumpsters take the reins on your next project. We offer consistent and excellent service. If you need a company who offers communication and not excuses, then make it a Buffalo dumpster.
Large commercial demos are no problem for us and neither are the smaller one-and-done jobs. We’ll give you the same commitment to quality we give our veteran customers—after all, everyone who runs with the herd is part of the team.
